Dave Munnings BSc (Hons) ost. Animal ost

INTERNATIONALLY SUCCESSFUL COMPETITOR

Agility Team GB member many times, Dave has consistently been at the top of the Agility World for many years. From gaining an individual Bronze Medal in 2005 with Billy at the FCi World Agility Championships, individual Silver Medal in 2010 with Dobby at the FCi World Agility Championship to the present day running the current Highest Internationally Placed Dog in the UK gaining Bronze in both Individual and Team at the FCi World Agility Championships, Gold at the World Agility Open Championship and both 2017 and 2018 Crufts Agility Champion and current Crufts 2020 Singles Agility Champion at home, Dave is regarded by many as one, if not the best handler in the UK.

As Agility has evolved Dave has responded, changed and adapted the training for his own and student’s dogs to continually get the best results, passing his personal knowledge and experience on in his wide range of training videos. Hosting training seminars across the world from Australia to America to meet the requests of students at home and overseas, Dave began to offer online training back in 2011. Over the last couple of years Dave has seen the popularity of training videos surge with many agility handlers offering Online Training, however this is usually based on second hand knowledge and experience of only a very small number of dogs and as important as teaching what you should do in an online video is having the knowledge to be able to advise what you shouldn’t do and what to do when problems arise. Training with Dave you will get first hand advice that Dave knows will work, He understands that every dog/handler team is different in personality, style and ability. Therefore to get the best out of everyone, he adapts the application of his system and his teaching methods accordingly and should you hit a problem, Dave will have seen it all before and be able to help you navigate round it and continue to work towards your goals.

Care of the Agility Dog is also paramount to Dave and with a BSC Hons Degree in Human and Animal Osteopathy, Dave will only set up and offer exercises which are age relevant very carefully thought out and adapted to minimize any injuries.

With a firm belief that agility should be Fun for both dog and handler, Dave uses only very positive methods to train every level from puppies and beginners to Crufts winners. Focusing on consistency as the key training element, he has created his own World level handling system which time and time again helps to produce phenomenal canine athletes and amazing partnerships.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WILL MY DOG BE CONFUSED BY INTRODUCING NEW HANDLING TECHNIQUES?

Dave firmly believes in consistency and has designed his handling system to avoid any confusion. You can choose to integrate the Q-Me techniques into those you are already ready using or change completely to the new system - dogs are very adaptable.

IS Q-ME AGILITY JUST FOR DOGS STARTING THEIR TRAINING?

No, you can start from the basics or pick and choose sections which will help you improve the level your dog has already reached.

MY DOG IS NOW FOUR YEARS OLD AND I AM STUCK IN GRADE 3 - CAN Q-ME AGILITY HELP ME PROGRESS?

Absolutely - it can make it easier for you to progress by creating more drive in the dog and more consistency in your handling.

I HAVE BEEN DOING AGILITY FOR YEARS, IS IT TOO LATE TO CHANGE MY HANDLING SYSTEM?

It's never too late to improve! Q-Me agility will give you new and fresh ideas from a different point of view and will inspire you to train more and become a better handler.

I CAN'T RUN VERY WELL - WILL I BE ABLE TO COPE WITH Q-ME AGILITY?

Verbal cues are a key part of the handling system - this means dogs can be handled at a distance whether from behind, in front or from the side.

I JUST WANT TO HAVE SOME FUN AND MAYBE DO A FEW COMPETITIONS - IS Q-ME AGILITY FOR ME?

Absolutely! - Q-Me agility is all about making it fun for the dogs and caters for all levels - from those who just want to enjoy working with their dogs right through to potential world champions.

I AM A COMPLETE BEGINNER - IS Q-ME AGILITY SUITABLE FOR ME?

Yes it certainly is suitable for beginners. It's offered in very small, easy to digest sections which start by covering the early foundations of building a great working relationship with your dog and the basic stages of Dave's training system. You choose which sections are right for your level.

I GO TO REGULAR AGILITY CLUB CLASSES - WILL Q-ME AGILITY CONFLICT WITH THIS OTHER TRAINING?

You can choose whether you want to follow the system right from the foundations, or just watch sections on specific handling areas which will add to the work you are already doing rather than conflicting.
